BlackRapid Cross Shot Breathe Strap 361001
The BlackRapid Cross Shot Breathe Strap 361001 is a camera strap designed for photographers who want a single strap that works as both a neck and shoulder carry option. It uses durable poly-nylon webbing and a breathable rubber neck pad to reduce strain during long shooting sessions. The strap adjusts from 36 inches to 70 inches to fit different body types and carry preferences. It is not for photographers who need a dual-camera harness without purchasing additional CoupleR attachments.
Installation and common issues
Attaching the strap is straightforward: clip the brass/zinc locking carabiner to the camera's strap lug and secure the Lock Star FR-5 fastener. The adjustable slider moves along the webbing to change length quickly. A common issue is the carabiner twisting on the lug if the fastener is not fully tightened before shooting. Another issue is the neck pad shifting off-centre when the strap is worn loosely across the body.
Compatibility check
Verify that your camera body has standard strap lugs wide enough to accept the locking carabiner. Confirm the lugs are metal and not recessed plastic loops that could prevent the carabiner gate from closing fully. Check whether you already own CoupleR attachments if you plan to expand to a two-camera setup later. Ensure the 36-to-70-inch adjustment range covers your preferred carry height when worn over the shoulder.

Questions about this item
How do I confirm the Cross Shot Breathe Strap is working correctly after attaching it?
Attach the brass/zinc locking carabiner to the camera's tripod socket, engage the Lock Star FR-5 fastener, and verify the camera hangs securely without slipping. Adjust the poly-nylon webbing between 36 and 70 inches until the camera rests at your preferred shooting height and the breathable rubber neck pad sits comfortably.
What comes with the 361001 strap and what must I purchase separately?
The box contains the Cross Shot Breathe Strap with integrated breathable rubber neck pad, Lock Star FR-5 fasteners, and brass/zinc locking carabiner. CoupleR attachments for a two-camera harness setup are sold separately.
Which length setting of the 36-70 inch adjustment range should I choose for my height?
Start near the middle of the 36 to 70 inch range, then shorten or lengthen the poly-nylon webbing until the camera grip falls naturally to your hand when standing. The breathable rubber neck pad should sit flat without pulling, and the Lock Star FR-5 fasteners must stay locked at the chosen length.
