Waterproof Floating Speaker IP68

The Blufree BT601G is a portable Bluetooth speaker rated IP68 for full waterproof and dustproof protection. It floats on water and can survive immersion down to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes. Bluetooth 4.2 provides a wireless range up to 49.21 feet for streaming from phones or tablets.

Pool Users Seeking Light Shows

Swimmers, spa owners and outdoor enthusiasts who want music with coloured illumination will appreciate the seven built-in light modes that react to audio or cycle automatically. Buyers needing a speaker for large open areas or critical listening should look elsewhere, as the single driver and 70 decibel signal-to-noise ratio limit maximum output and dynamic range.

Battery Life and Audio Coverage

A 1600 mAh battery delivers up to 8 hours of playback at moderate volume, suitable for a pool party or camping trip. The 360° sound design disperses audio evenly around the unit, though bass extension and peak loudness are constrained by the compact 5.0 by 5.0 by 3.4 inch enclosure.

Questions about this item

Does the speaker need a separate power outlet to run the lights and audio?

No, the built-in 1600 mAh battery powers both the 360° sound and the seven light modes for up to 8 hours after a full charge via the included power cable.

Will it still float and play if my older Bluetooth 4.2 phone is used?

Yes, the speaker connects with any Bluetooth 4.2 device up to 49.21 feet away, so an older phone with that version will stream audio and handle calls while the unit floats.

How can I confirm the IP68 rating is holding after I put it in the pool?

The speaker should continue playing without distortion while floating, and after 30 minutes at 1.5 metres depth it must still power on, pair, and show all seven light modes.
