What the Q2 MAX-C Is

The Bob and Brad Q2 MAX-C is a handheld percussion massage gun with a patented infrared heat head. It combines 660 nm red light, 850 nm near-infrared light and dual warmth settings of 104°F and 113°F. Physical therapists Bob and Brad developed the device for athletes and desk workers who want targeted muscle recovery in a compact tool.

Thermals Noise and Power

The brushless motor draws 25 W and runs below 40 dB during normal sessions. Stall force reaches 35 lbs while the infrared head adds soothing heat without loud fans. A 10-minute auto shut-off protects the battery and limits surface temperature. USB-C fast charging restores full power in 1.52 hours for up to 120 minutes of cordless use.

Deciding Specification

The single figure that determines fit is the adjustable amplitude range of 5 mm to 11 mm. Choose 5 mm for sensitive areas such as shoulders and 11 mm for deep work on quads and glutes. If you need a fixed stroke outside this window or a device without infrared heat, this model will not match the requirement.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the infrared head and start a heat session on the Q2 MAX-C?

Snap the patented infrared head onto the shaft until it clicks, press the power button to choose one of the five speeds between 1800 and 3000 RPM, then press the heat button once for 104°F or twice for 113°F; the 10-minute auto shut-off will end the session automatically.

When will the built-in battery need replacement and how do I keep it healthy?

The embedded lithium-ion cell is rated for roughly 120 minutes per charge and recharges in 1.52 hours via USB-C; avoid leaving it fully discharged for weeks and store it around 50 % charge if unused for a month or more.

What stops the motor first during a long deep-tissue session on the 11 mm setting?

The 35 lb stall force limit — once resistance exceeds that threshold the brushless motor pauses to protect itself, and the 10-minute auto shut-off provides a second safeguard against overheating.
