What this speaker is

The Bobtot SoundAir is a portable Bluetooth speaker that delivers 5 W of stereo sound from a 2.0 driver configuration. It is aimed at listeners who want a compact, water-resistant unit for indoor or outdoor use and need up to 20 hours of playback from a single charge. The yellow finish and integrated strap make it easy to spot and carry.

Installation and common issues

Pairing is handled entirely over Bluetooth 5.0; there are no cables or software to install, so setup takes seconds with any compatible phone, tablet or computer. The only frequent stumbling block is obstructions that reduce the 33-foot operating range, and the speaker must be recharged via its built-in 1200 mAh battery when the 20-hour limit is reached.

The spec that decides fit

Total output power is 5 watts with an 18 kHz response bandwidth and 65 dB signal-to-noise ratio, which determines whether the volume and clarity meet your expectations for personal listening or small gatherings. Buyers who need room-filling sound for larger spaces or higher fidelity for critical audio work will find this output insufficient.
