Telephone Interface for PCM2000

The Bogen BG-PCMTIM module adds a universal telephone interface to the PCM2000 paging system. It is intended for installers who need to connect the PCM2000 to an existing telephone network. The unit installs directly into the PCM2000 chassis.

Three RJ11 Connections

The module provides three RJ11 jacks labelled Override, Page Port/Trunk, and 90V Night Ring/Station. A standard RJ11 plug links the module to the PCM2000 telephone system. These connections allow the paging system to access trunk lines, station ports, and night-ring signalling.

Single-System Integration

The interface supports one PCM2000 installation and does not expand beyond that chassis. It handles the telephone-side signalling required for paging and night-ring functions. Installations requiring multiple independent telephone interfaces or digital trunk types fall outside the module's design.

Questions about this item

Will the three RJ11 jacks on the BG-PCMTIM need periodic replacement?

The module provides Override, Page Port/Trunk and 90V Night Ring/Station ports; standard RJ11 connectors are rated for thousands of insertions and rarely wear out in normal office use.

What limits continuous operation of the telephone interface module?

The unit draws power from the PCM2000 system and has no moving parts, so thermal limits of the host chassis are the first constraint during all-day paging.

How much heat or noise does the BG-PCMTIM add when running all day?

It is a passive line-level interface with no fan or active circuitry, so it adds negligible heat and produces no audible noise during continuous operation.
