Bogen HTA250A Power Amplifier

The Bogen HTA250A is a 250 W live sound amplifier built with Power MOSFET circuitry for continuous rated output. It mounts in a standard 19" rack at 5.2" height and 11" depth, weighing approximately 50 lb. A 1:1 line-matching transformer is included in the package.

Installers needing 250 W continuous power

This unit suits fixed installations that require 250 W of continuous power with automatic overload protection and multiple output voltage or impedance taps. It is not for portable PA users who need a lighter chassis, nor for venues that demand more than 250 W from a single amplifier.

250 W continuous output rating

The 250 W continuous output rating is the specification that determines whether this amplifier meets the system design. Total harmonic distortion is rated at .5 %RMS at that output level.

Questions about this item

What output power does the 250 W amplifier deliver?

The Bogen HTA250A delivers 250 watts of continuous rated output power using Power MOSFET circuitry.

What rack dimensions are required for the 19-inch wide unit?

It fits a standard 19-inch rack, stands 5.2 inches high (3U), and needs 11 inches of depth clearance.

How is the included 1:1 line-matching transformer installed, and what step is often missed?

Connect the transformer between the source and the amplifier input; the step often missed is verifying the impedance match for the specific line voltage used.
