Dual-computer KVM with dual 4K outputs
This Bolton Technical accessory combines a two-port KVM switch and a 14-in-1 docking station. It lets two laptops or MacBooks share one keyboard, one mouse and up to two external displays at 4K 60Hz. A DisplayLink driver must be installed on each host for video to appear.
Suited to fixed dual-monitor desks
Professionals who need to toggle between two USB-C 3.2 hosts on a permanent twin-screen layout will benefit. Users whose laptops lack USB-C 3.2, who require power delivery to charge the host, or who need more than two display outputs should consider a different solution.
USB-C 3.2 host link and peripheral hub
Each computer connects through a single USB-C 3.2 cable that carries data and video. The dock adds two USB-A 3.0 ports, one USB-C data port, gigabit ethernet and SD card slots. Video leaves via HDMI and DisplayPort; cables under one metre supporting HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4 are recommended for stable 4K 60Hz.

Questions about this item
Does my laptop need a USB-C 3.2 port to use this KVM switch?
Yes, the switch requires each computer to have a USB-C 3.2 or higher port; older USB-C versions will not work.
Will my existing DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 cables support the 4K 60Hz output?
Cables certified for DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1, kept under one metre, will deliver the full 4K 60Hz signal to both monitors.
How can I confirm the DisplayLink driver is active after I connect everything?
Install the DisplayLink driver on both computers; when the driver is running, both external monitors will show an extended or mirrored desktop and the keyboard and mouse will control the selected system.
