Audiophile speaker cable for centre-channel use

This 8-foot single speaker cable uses 7 AWG ultra-pure oxygen-free copper with 4480 strands of 0.08 mm diameter to minimise signal loss. It is aimed at listeners who want deeper bass, clear midrange and extended treble in a high-end stereo or home-cinema system. Buyers needing multi-channel wiring or in-wall rated jacket should look elsewhere.

Low-loss conductor and insulated banana plugs

The 99.99 % OFC construction reduces resistance so the amplifier sees a stable load at normal listening levels. Gold-plated 4 mm Eminence banana plugs with fully insulated bodies prevent accidental shorts and maintain consistent contact pressure. No active electronics or external power are involved, so there is no thermal or noise contribution from the cable itself.

Hand-braided Tweed jacket and premium packaging

A carbon-coloured braided Tweed cloth jacket protects the conductors while adding a tactile, non-slip finish that resists kinking during routing. Embroidered labelling identifies polarity without sticky tags that can fall off. The luxury presentation box makes the assembly suitable as a gift, but it adds no electrical function beyond the cable and plugs already described.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the 4 mm banana plugs on this 7 AWG cable without loosening the 4480 strands?

Unscrew each plug, spread the 0.08 mm strands into the barrel, then tighten the collar so the 24 K gold tip seats fully — the insulated body prevents shorts.

What upkeep does the braided carbon Tweed jacket and 99.99 % OFC conductor need over time?

Wipe the Tweed cloth with a dry microfibre cloth; the oxygen-free copper resists oxidation so no polish or re-termination is required.

At what point does the 7 AWG gauge hit its thermal limit during continuous high-power playback?

The 4480-strand 7 AWG construction keeps resistance negligible, so thermal compression only appears at sustained amplifier outputs well above typical home-theatre levels.
