BONAEVER 148FT/40M Waterproof Case Kit for GoPro Hero 2018/7/6/5 Black

Compatibility and Use Cases

This waterproof housing fits GoPro Hero 2018, 7, 6 and 5 Black cameras. It is built for deep-water diving and extreme outdoor activities where the camera needs full enclosure. The kit also includes a floating hand grip that keeps the setup buoyant if dropped. It is not for owners of newer GoPro models or action cameras with different body shapes.

Depth Rating and Optical Limits

The case is rated to 60 metres or 196 feet with an upgraded sealing ring and tight buckle to prevent leaks. A flat glass lens is 0.4 inches larger and 35 percent thicker than the standard housing, preserving sharpness above and below water. A high-transparency diving filter maintains colour fidelity and blocks waterborne impurities. Anti-fog inserts are supplied to reduce condensation on the inner lens surface. The housing cannot exceed its stated depth rating and does not compensate for low-light loss at extreme depths.

Installation Notes and Common Issues

The camera slides into the shell and locks with the buckle; the sealing ring must be clean and seated before every dive. The floating grip attaches to the housing mount and should be tightened by hand to avoid cross-threading. Anti-fog inserts need time to activate in humid conditions, so install them early. The thicker lens adds slight vignetting on the widest field-of-view setting. Users who skip the pre-dive seal check risk water ingress.
