iPad Pro 12.9 2015 2017 keyboard case

This BONAEVER case fits the iPad Pro 12.9 inch first generation from 2015 and second generation from 2017. Model numbers A1584, A1652, A1670 and A1671 are supported. It combines a detachable Bluetooth keyboard with a protective leather cover and includes a paperfeel screen protector. The integrated pencil holder keeps an Apple Pencil secure.

Touchpad requires iOS 13.0 and assistive touch

The built-in trackpad works only after enabling Assistive Touch in the iPad accessibility settings and running iOS 13.0 or later. The keyboard connects via Bluetooth and features three-zone backlighting with seven colours and three brightness levels. The case and keyboard separate for flexible use in different environments.

Upgrades from basic folio or screen-only protection

This case replaces a simple folio or stand-alone screen protector by adding a full keyboard, trackpad and pencil storage in one unit. The jump is worth it for users who type long documents or need cursor control on the supported iPad Pro models. It will not fit any other iPad models.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the keyboard case to my iPad Pro 12.9 2017 and what step is often missed?

Align the iPad with the magnetic smart cover so it snaps into the precise cutouts for camera, speakers and volume buttons; the step users miss is enabling Assistive Touch in iPadOS accessibility settings before the trackpad will function.

What part of this case will need replacement first with daily use?

The built-in rechargeable keyboard battery will degrade over time and cannot be swapped independently; the paper-feel screen protector will also wear and should be replaced when it no longer feels smooth.

What limits the trackpad from working on this case?

The trackpad requires iPadOS 13.0 or later with Assistive Touch turned on; without that software version and setting the trackpad remains inactive.
