  • Protects MacBook Pro A1398 from shocks and scratches with hard-shell cover
  • Keyboard skin included to guard against dust and spills
  • All ports stay accessible while case remains snapped on
  • Ventilation slots and rubber feet maintain airflow and stability
  • Fits only Retina 15.4-inch models from 2012 to 2015

Compatible MacBook Models

This hard-shell case fits only the MacBook Pro 15.4 inch with Retina Display carrying model number A1398 released between 2012 and 2015. It matches the exact contours of that specific chassis.

Upgrade From Basic Sleeves

A snap-on shell replaces loose sleeves or skins by adding rigid impact protection and fixed rubberised feet that keep the laptop stable on a desk. The jump is worth it when daily transport demands drop and scratch defence without removing the case for port access.

Who Should Buy And Who Should Not

Buyers with a verified A1398 model get full port access, ventilation slots and a transparent Apple logo window. Owners of 13 inch MacBooks, MacBook Air, the older A1286 15 inch or the newer A1707 Touch Bar models cannot use this case.

Questions about this item

Will the A1398 hard case fit my MacBook Pro 15.4 inch Retina 2012-2015 model?

The case is designed only for MacBook Pro 15.4 inch Retina Display model A1398 released 2012 through 2015. It will not fit model A1286 or the 2016-2017 A1707 Touch Bar models.

How do I install the snap-on case and keyboard skin without blocking the vents?

Align the top and bottom shells with the hinge and port cut-outs, snap each corner firmly, then lay the keyboard skin flat so the ventilation slots on the bottom shell remain uncovered.

When should I remove the case to clean dust from the ventilation slots and rubber feet?

Remove the snap-on shells every few weeks and use compressed air to clear the vent slots and rubberised feet so heat dissipation stays effective.
