Compatible MacBook Pro 13 Retina models

This hard-shell case fits MacBook Pro 13-inch Retina models A1502 and A1425 released between 2012 and 2015. The snap-on design wraps the chassis in two rigid layers while leaving every port accessible. A transparent silicone keyboard cover is included to guard against spills and dust. Ventilation slots and rubberised feet help maintain airflow and stability.

Best for owners of 2012-2015 Retina Pros

Buyers with a MacBook Pro 13 Retina from 2012 through 2015 who want drop and scratch protection without removing the case for charging will appreciate the precise fit. Users of newer MacBook Pro 13 models, MacBook Air models, or any non-Apple laptop should look elsewhere because the moulding matches only the listed A1502 and A1425 dimensions.

Model-number match decides fit

The single specification that determines compatibility is the model number printed on the bottom of the laptop: it must read A1502 or A1425. If the label shows a different model identifier, the case will not align with the ports, vents or hinge geometry.

Questions about this item

Which MacBook Pro model numbers must I already own for this A1502 case to fit?

The hard cover snaps onto MacBook Pro 13 inch Retina models A1502 and A1425 released in 2012, 2013, 2014 or 2015, covering part numbers such as MF843LL/A, MGX72LL/A, ME864LL/A and MD212LL/A.

Will the case block the vents on my 2013 MacBook Pro Retina 13.3?

No, the shell includes vent slots that align with the laptop's own airflow channels so heat can escape while the case stays on.

How can I verify the case is seated correctly after I snap it on?

The Apple logo should shine through the solid top, all ports remain reachable, the lid opens fully, the rubber feet grip the desk and the included silicone keyboard cover lies flat over the keys.
