Keyboard Case for iPad Pro 12.9 Inch

This protective case combines a backlit keyboard with a multi-touch trackpad and a built-in Apple Pencil holder. It is designed for professionals and students who want a laptop-like typing and navigation experience on their 12.9-inch iPad Pro. The case supports the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th generation models released between 2018 and 2022.

Compatibility by Model Number

The single specification that decides fit is the model identifier printed on the back of the tablet. This case covers A1876, A1895, A1983, A2014, A2069, A2229, A2232, A2233, A2378, A2379, A2436, A2437, A2461, A2462, A2764 and A2766. Buyers with any other identifier cannot use this case.

Install and Common Issues

The case snaps onto the iPad and the keyboard pairs over Bluetooth; no tools or software installation are required. The hinge allows 180-degree flip and 360-degree rotation for multiple viewing angles. A frequent issue is forgetting to verify the exact model number before purchase, which leads to an improper fit.

Questions about this item

How does the 180 flip and 360 rotatable hinge work when I am using the iPad Pro 12.9?

The hinge lets you fold the keyboard flat against the back or rotate it to any angle, so you can type on a desk or hold the iPad like a tablet without a separate stand.

What does the Bluetooth connection mean for daily use with the iPad Pro 12.9?

Pair once and the keyboard and trackpad connect automatically whenever the case is open, with no cables or dongles required.

Will this case fit my iPad Pro 12.9 if the model number on the back is A2378?

Yes, A2378 is listed for the 2021 5th generation 12.9 inch model, so the case and keyboard cover will align perfectly.
