MacBook Pro 16-inch hard case

The BONAEVER A2485 is a grey hard-shell case built exclusively for 16-inch MacBook Pro models A2485, A2780 and A2991 released between 2021 and 2023. A wraparound bumper and optional scratch guard deliver 360-degree defence against drops and scrapes while the Apple logo remains visible through the solid top.

Protection capacity and fit limits

The armour shell absorbs shocks from everyday knocks and the included silicone keyboard cover blocks liquid spills. Because the mould matches only the three listed model numbers, the case will not fit any other 16-inch MacBook or any other laptop; buyers must verify the A2xxx code on the base before ordering.

Thermals, noise and power impact

Full ventilation cut-outs allow the MacBook's own cooling system to exhaust heat normally, so the case adds no audible fan noise and draws no power. All ports stay accessible with the case fitted, and the bundled USB-C to USB adapter plugs in without removing the shell.

Questions about this item

Will the A2485 hard shell fit my 2021 MacBook Pro 16 inch if I keep using my existing USB-C hub?

The case is designed for A2485, A2780 and A2991 models only and leaves all ports accessible, so your hub plugs in without removing the shell.

How can I confirm the folding stand is locked at the right angle once I snap the case on?

Open the integrated stand until it clicks into its detent; the laptop then sits at a stable typing angle without wobbling.

Does the package include the silicone keyboard cover and the USB-C to USB adapter, or must I order them separately?

Both the transparent silicone keyboard cover and one USB-C to USB adapter are supplied in the box.
