Buyers who need a case for other iPad sizes or generations cannot use this model.

Upgrade from on-screen typing

This case replaces typing on the iPad glass and using a separate stand. The equidistant keys, PadOS shortcut row and built-in touchpad give a laptop feel for long writing sessions. The jump is worth it when you regularly compose documents, emails or code on the move. Users who only consume media or rarely type will not benefit from the extra bulk.

Installation and common issues

The keyboard connects wirelessly and the case snaps onto the iPad with a 360 degree hinge rated for 20000 cycles. To enable the trackpad you must turn on Assistive Touch in iPad accessibility settings and run iOS 13.0 or later. Forgetting that step is the most common reason the trackpad appears not to work. The hinge allows seven viewing angles for typing, viewing or tablet mode.
