Replacement Battery Door for GoPro Hero 9, 10, 11.

This aluminium alloy door replaces the original plastic battery cover on GoPro Hero 9, 10, 11 and 12 Black models. It is built for owners who want a tougher side panel that resists cracking and sharp-object damage during regular use or travel. The CNC-machined metal construction adds durability without adding bulk.

Upgrade from Standard Plastic Cover

The factory plastic door can snap or warp after repeated removal or a hard knock. This metal replacement is worth fitting when you open the battery compartment often or carry the camera in rough environments where the side takes impacts. It slots in with a single press and releases with one button, so swapping batteries stays quick.

Limits of the Press-Fit Design

The door relies on a press-fit latch and built-in EVA foam for shock absorption, so it cannot seal the compartment against deep water immersion on its own. It also does not add a tripod thread or cold-shoe mount, so users needing extra mounting points must look elsewhere. The foam padding may compress over very long periods of heavy use.

Questions about this item

Does the aluminium door need any tools or screws to mount on a Hero 12?

No tools or screws are required; press the door onto the camera until it clicks into place.

What is the step users often miss when removing the door from a Hero 11?

Press the release button fully before pulling the cover away; forcing it without the button can damage the latch.

If the built-in EVA foam on the Hero 10 door compresses over time, what should be done?

Replace the entire door; the foam is not sold separately and cannot be swapped out.
