12th Generation Fire HD 8 Protection

This black protection case fits the 12th generation Fire HD 8 and Fire HD 8 Plus tablets with an 8.0 inch screen. It uses a three-layer structure of hard plastic and soft silicone to absorb drops and impacts. Precise cutouts keep every button, port, camera and speaker accessible without removing the cover. The case ships new and includes no built-in screen protector.

360 Degree Rotatable Kickstand

A 360 degree rotatable kickstand lets you set multiple viewing angles for video calls, media or reading. A stretchable handle grip adds a secure one-handed hold during travel or outdoor work. Adjustable, removable shoulder straps attach to any two holes so you can carry the tablet vertically or horizontally like a messenger bag. The straps free your hands while keeping the device protected.

Replaces Basic Slip Covers

This case upgrades from simple sleeves or folio covers that lack drop protection and hands-free viewing. The jump is worth it when you need rugged shock absorption, a built-in stand and a carry strap in one package. It is not for owners of earlier Fire HD 8 generations because the cutouts only match the 2022 and 2024 models. Buyers who want an integrated screen protector should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How much shock protection does the three-layer hard-plastic-and-silicone shell give the Fire HD 8 12th Gen during daily drops?

The case uses a three-layer structure of premium hard plastic and soft silicone to absorb impact from drops and shocks while keeping all ports, buttons, cameras and speakers accessible.

Does the 360-degree rotatable kickstand or the stretchable handle grip get hot or noisy after hours of video playback?

The kickstand and handle are passive mechanical parts with no electronics, so they generate no heat and make no noise during extended use.

Which tablet model must I already own for this case to fit precisely?

The case fits only the All New Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8 or Fire HD 8 Plus 12th Generation 8.0 inch tablets released in 2022 and 2024.
