PS5 and PC M.2 2280 heatsink kit

The BONAEVER cooler fits M.2 2280 NVME drives in a PlayStation 5 or desktop computer. It includes two mounting options — a screw-fixing heatsink and a rubber-band fixing heatsink — plus screws, a rubber ring and four thermal pads. The alloy aluminium construction adds corrosion and wear resistance.

Double-sided design with phase-change pads

Grooves on both sides increase the dissipation area and the supplied phase-change silicone pads improve thermal transfer over time. The manufacturer states a cooling effect of 10 to 25 degrees Celsius depending on the environment. This helps keep the SSD at a safer operating temperature during heavy workloads.

Check drive height and motherboard clearance

The kit is built for single-sided or double-sided 2280-length modules, but taller components on the PCB may prevent the heatsink from seating fully. Verify that your PS5 expansion slot or motherboard M.2 slot has enough vertical space for the aluminium block and the chosen mounting method before ordering.

Questions about this item

Will the thermal pads need replacing after a while?

The set includes four phase-change silicone pads; they are designed for long-term use and thermal conductivity improves over time.

What temperature drop can I expect during heavy workloads?

The double-sided groove design targets a 10°C to 25°C reduction depending on the environment.

Does the aluminium heatsink get hot to the touch when the SSD runs all day?

Alloy aluminium with oxidation finish spreads heat quickly, keeping the drive at a safe temperature during sustained operation.
