Tailored Fit

This blue protective hard cover is designed exclusively for the MacBook Air 13.6 inch with M2 chip, Liquid Retina display and Touch ID released in 2022. It matches model A2681 and the listed part numbers such as MLXW3LL/A and MLY43LL/A. The package includes a transparent keyboard cover for spill protection. Fully vented construction allows heat disbursement while keeping all buttons and ports accessible.

Not for Other Models

Buyers who own a different MacBook Air model cannot use this case because the fit is model-specific. The product page states a warning that it is not compatible with other laptops, so verification of the A2681 number on the device is required before purchase.

Model Number Verification

The single specification that decides fit is the model number A2681 printed on the bottom of the MacBook Air. Only units showing that exact identifier will align with the case dimensions of 12 x 8.5 x 0.46 inch and the laptop dimensions of 11.97 x 8.46 x 0.44 inch.

Questions about this item

Does the blue case fit every A2681 model number listed?

Yes — the case is designed for all A2681 variants including MLXW3LL/A, MLXX3LL/A, MLXY3LL/A, MLY03LL/A, MLY13LL/A, MLY23LL/A, MLY33LL/A and MLY43LL/A.

Will the 12 x 8.5 x 0.46 inch shell leave gaps on my 11.97 x 8.46 x 0.44 inch MacBook Air?

The case is fractionally larger in each dimension so it fits snugly without forcing the chassis, and the fully vented base still allows normal heat disbursement.

Does the transparent keyboard cover add enough thickness to interfere with the lid closing on the 13.6 inch display?

The cover is thin enough that the lid closes normally and the Touch ID sensor remains fully accessible.
