Tailored fit for A1278 MacBook Pro 13

This hard-shell case is moulded exclusively for the 13-inch MacBook Pro carrying model number A1278 released between 2008 and 2012 with a built-in CD-ROM drive. It snaps onto the chassis without tools and stays in place during daily transport. A matching ultra-thin silicone keyboard cover is included in the same package. The black finish gives the ageing notebook a uniform, low-profile look.

Snap-on protection that keeps ports open

The two-piece shell wraps the top and bottom surfaces while leaving every connector, the optical drive slot and the cooling vents fully accessible. Rubberised feet on the base raise the laptop slightly so air can circulate through the existing vent pattern. Charging cables, headphones and peripherals plug in without removing any part of the case. The keyboard cover shields the keys from spills and dust without interfering with the trackpad.

For owners of the 2008-2012 A1278 model only

Buyers with a Retina-display MacBook Pro, a 13-inch Air or any A1278 unit lacking the CD-ROM drive cannot use this case. The precise moulding means it will not fit later unibody revisions or any non-Apple notebook. Anyone needing a sleeve for multiple laptop sizes or a padded bag for travel should look at a different product type.
