Powerful Outdoor LED Driver

The BONAEVER unit delivers 250 watts at 12 volts DC with a 20.83 amp output for demanding LED installations. Its IP67 rating confirms full dust ingress protection and immersion resistance up to one metre. The aluminium housing measures 6.85 by 1.98 by 0.43 inches for compact outdoor mounting.

Automatic Safety Protections

Built-in circuits guard against short circuit, overload, over voltage, over current and over temperature faults. Each protection uses hiccup mode with auto-recovery once the fault clears, removing the need for manual resets. Free-air convection cooling eliminates fan noise and moving-part wear in exposed locations.

Input Range and Temperature Limits

The driver accepts AC input from 90 to 150 volts at 47 to 63 hertz, restricting use to regions matching that window. Operating temperature spans -40 to 40 degrees Celsius, so output may derate above 40 degrees. The 3.3 foot input lead and 8.66 inch output lead set fixed wiring reach without extension.

Questions about this item

Will the IP67 seal or the over-temperature protection need replacement after long outdoor use?

The unit is rated IP67 for dust and water ingress and includes over-temperature protection that auto-recovers once the fault clears; no user-replaceable seals or thermal components are mentioned.

What limit appears first when the driver runs continuously at 250 W output?

Continuous full-load operation is bounded by the 40 °C maximum ambient temperature and the ≥85 % efficiency figure; exceeding either will trigger the over-temperature or over-load protection.

How hot and loud does the adapter get when it powers LED strips all day?

Cooling is by free air convection with no fan, so acoustic noise is negligible; the case temperature will rise above ambient but must stay within the -40 °C to 40 °C operating range.
