Spider-Man 2 Faceplate Kit

The BONAEVER replacement shell swaps the standard PlayStation Portal housing for a Spider-Man 2 themed black faceplate made from ultra-thin ABS plastic. It includes two screen protectors and is aimed at owners who want a custom look without adding bulk to the handheld remote player.

Snap-On Shell Constraints

The faceplate clips onto the existing Portal chassis and relies on precise 1:1 cut-outs for buttons, vents and ports. Because it replaces the outer shell rather than overlaying it, any pre-existing damage to the console’s mounting points will prevent a secure fit and the thin ABS material offers no impact cushioning beyond scratch resistance.

Installation Reality

A step-by-step video tutorial is provided and the supplier claims novices can complete the swap independently. In practice, the process requires prying off the original plates without cracking the fragile internal clips; rushing this step is the most common cause of broken tabs that leave the new faceplate loose.

Screen Protector Application

The two included protectors are standard film sheets applied after the shell swap. Dust trapped under the film during installation is the typical defect, so a clean environment and careful alignment are essential for a bubble-free finish.
