Model-specific fit

The single specification that decides fit is the exact model number: SM-P200 or SM-P205 released in 2019. The case will not fit any other Samsung tablet, including other 8.0 inch models like SM-T290, SM-T295, T380, T385 or T387. Buyers must verify the model number printed on the back of their device before ordering.

Triple-layer protection and carrying options

A hard polycarbonate inner shell, soft silicone outer layer and front frame absorb shocks from drops and bumps without adding bulk. Precise cutouts keep every port and button accessible. The built-in kickstand and 360-degree rotating hand strap support hands-free viewing, while the adjustable, removable shoulder strap allows cross-body carry or hanging in a vehicle or kitchen.

Questions about this item

What does the SM-T290 model number tell me about which Galaxy Tab A 8.0 inch tablets this case actually fits?

The SM-T290 case is designed for the 2019 Galaxy Tab A 8.0 models SM-P200 and SM-P205 with S Pen. It does not fit the SM-T380, SM-T385 or SM-T387 variants.

How does the 360-degree rotating hand-strap work with the built-in kickstand for hands-free viewing?

The adjustable hand-strap rotates a full 360 degrees and pairs with the rear kickstand so you can prop the tablet at multiple angles for video or typing without holding it.

What are the three layers of the shockproof construction and how do they protect the tablet?

An inner hard polycarbonate shell, a soft silicone outer shell and a front frame absorb impacts and guard against scratches while keeping precise cut-outs for every port and button.
