Universal Gimbal Counterweight Kit
This kit provides an adjustable mounting clamp and two counterweights to balance gimbals when different lenses or accessories are attached. It is designed for operators who need to shift the centre of gravity on compatible DJI Ronin and Zhiyun Weebill Crane series gimbals.
Thermals Noise and Power Draw
The kit contains only passive metal components and adds no active cooling, fan noise or electrical draw to the gimbal system. Balance is achieved mechanically without any power requirement.
Build Quality and Connectors
The clamp is machined from aluminium with a knurled locking knob and includes an anti-scratch pad to protect the gimbal arm. Seven 1/4-inch threaded holes on the clamp and matching threads on each weight allow flexible stacking and positioning for precise balance.

Questions about this item
How do I attach the counterweight clamp to my gimbal arm, and what is the common mistake?
Loosen the knob, slide the clamp onto an arm up to 14 mm thick, then tighten the knob until the anti-scratch pad grips firmly. The step people miss is checking that the pad sits flat before locking, otherwise the clamp can shift during use.
Will I need to replace any part of this kit over time, and what should I watch for?
The aluminium clamp and weights are waterproof and rust-proof, so no scheduled replacement is needed. Inspect the locking knob threads and the 1/4-inch holes periodically; if thread wear appears, replace the affected weight or clamp.
What limits how much extra weight I can stack on the arm during a long shoot?
The clamp fits arms up to 14 mm and provides seven 1/4-inch mounting points. The practical limit is the gimbal motor's payload rating, not the kit itself, so stop adding 50 g or 100 g weights when the motor struggles to hold position.
