Retro Typewriter Mechanical Keyboard

The BONAEVER keyboard uses round keycaps and blue mechanical switches to recreate a typewriter feel for PC and Mac users. It offers 104 keys with full anti-ghosting so multiple presses register at once during gaming or typing. Gold-plated USB connectors provide stable data transmission. The ABS construction is rated for 50 million keystrokes.

Sustained typing and gaming behaviour

Independent switches give consistent tactile feedback and audible clicks across long sessions without performance fade. The reinforced USB cable and connector resist wear from repeated movement. Anti-ghosting ensures every simultaneous keypress is recognised accurately even during extended play. The sturdy ABS base keeps the board stable on the desk.

USB interface practical limits

Connection relies on a standard wired USB link so cable length defines placement range. No wireless or Bluetooth option is included, limiting mobility compared to cordless models. Backlight control uses FN key combinations rather than software, which works across operating systems but offers no per-key customisation. Power draw stays within typical USB port limits.

Questions about this item

How much noise and heat does the Blue-switch mechanical keyboard produce during all-day use?

The Blue switches give an audible click with each keystroke, so the board is noticeably louder than membrane models. No heat is generated by the keyboard itself.

What must I already own to use the 104-key USB keyboard?

A computer with a free USB-A port running Windows or macOS is all that is required; the keyboard draws power and data over the single cable.

Will the 104-key layout work correctly alongside my older PS/2 peripherals?

Yes, the USB keyboard operates independently of any legacy PS/2 devices, so both can be connected and used at the same time without conflicts.
