Dual-band USB 3.0 Wi-Fi adapter delivers up to 1300 Mbps with two 5 dBi antennas for extended range on Windows and macOS
This USB Wi-Fi adapter adds dual-band wireless connectivity to a desktop PC or laptop through a USB 3.0 port. It supports Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, 7 and XP as well as macOS X and versions 10.9 through 10.14. Driver installation may be required on some systems. The device is aimed at users who need a simple way to upgrade or restore Wi-Fi access without opening the computer case.
The adapter operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands using the 802.11 AC standard. On the 2.4 GHz band the link rate reaches 400 Mbps, while the 5.8 GHz band offers up to 867 Mbps. The combined nominal rate is 1300 Mbps. Actual throughput will be lower because of protocol overhead, interference and the capabilities of the router. The USB 3.0 connection provides enough bus bandwidth not to bottleneck the wireless link.
Two 5 dBi high-gain antennas improve signal reception through walls and at longer distances from the access point. The adapter comfortably handles web browsing, video streaming and online gaming on a typical home or small-office network. It will run out of headroom in very dense radio environments or when the router itself limits the connection to lower rates. Buyers who need wired Ethernet speeds or multi-gigabit wireless throughput should consider a different solution.

The 2.4 GHz band reaches up to 400 Mbps and penetrates walls well; the 5.8 GHz band reaches up to 867 Mbps with less interference. Choose 2.4 GHz for range through obstacles, 5.8 GHz for maximum speed near the router.
The 1300 Mbps figure is the combined theoretical maximum of both bands — 400 Mbps on 2.4 GHz plus 867 Mbps on 5.8 GHz. Real-world throughput will be lower due to overhead, distance and network congestion.
USB 3.0 provides up to 5 Gbps bandwidth, well above the adapter's 867 Mbps peak on 5.8 GHz, so the wireless link remains the bottleneck, not the USB connection.
