Bondhus 12-piece ball-end hex set

This 12-piece set contains hex L-keys ranging from .05 inch through 5/16 inch. Bondhus invented the ball-end design to allow off-axis insertion at up to 25 degrees. The keys are forged from steel with a black oxide finish for corrosion resistance.

Capacity and headroom

The range covers small precision fasteners up to 5/16 inch hex heads commonly found on machinery and automotive components. Precision-tooled heads give a slop-free fit that reduces rounding risk. Forged steel construction delivers strong bend and snap resistance under high torque.

Deciding specification: ball-end angle

The 25-degree angled entry is the feature that determines suitability; it lets you engage fasteners in tight or obstructed locations where a straight driver cannot reach. If your work requires only straight access, a standard hex key set will suffice.

Questions about this item

Will the 0.05" and 1/16" ball-end keys reach fasteners that my straight drivers cannot?

The ball-end design allows 25° angled entry, so those smallest keys can engage hex sockets that are blocked from straight-on access.

How can I confirm each L-key is forged rather than stamped after I open the set?

Forged steel shows a uniform grain and no die parting lines; the black oxide finish will be even across the full length of every key.

Does the 12-piece set include a holder or case, or must I buy storage separately?

The supplier description lists only the 12 hex keys in sizes from 0.05" to 5/16" with black oxide finish; no holder or case is mentioned.
