Nine stubby hex keys from 1.5 to 10 mm with 25-degree ball-end entry for tight, low-clearance work
The Bondhus 16599 set contains nine stubby L-wrenches covering metric sizes from 1.5mm to 10.0mm. Each wrench features a ball-end tip that accepts angle entry up to 25 degrees on every size. The shorter arm length is designed for fasteners where a standard long key cannot fit. This collection targets technicians and builders who regularly work inside confined enclosures or crowded assemblies.
When a full-length hex key hits a wall, cable bundle or neighbouring component, these stubby versions take over without forcing the user to switch to a socket or driver bit. The upgrade is worth it whenever clearance is measured in millimetres rather than centimetres and the fastener still demands a positive hex engagement. Users who only encounter open-access bolts will not benefit from the reduced reach.
The ball-end geometry maintains contact across the 25-degree swing range, so off-axis pressure does not immediately cam out of the socket. Steel construction resists deformation when high breakaway torque is applied repeatedly during maintenance cycles. Because the arms are short, leverage is lower than on long keys, so prolonged high-torque tasks still call for a different driver style.
