Marine full-range speaker

The Boss Audio 2-way marine speaker is built for open-cockpit boats and exposed vehicle installations. Its waterproof construction and UV-resistant coatings protect the driver from spray and sun damage. The polypropylene cone and treated cloth surround are chosen for durability in harsh environments.

Sustained output and frequency range

Rated at 150 watts peak power handling, the speaker is designed to maintain performance during extended playback at volume. A frequency response of 80 Hz to 20 kHz covers the full audible spectrum for music and voice. Sensitivity of 89 dB ensures adequate output from typical marine head units without demanding excessive amplifier power.

Build quality and installation

Waterproof sealing and UV-treated materials prevent corrosion and material breakdown over multiple seasons. The treated cloth surround resists drying and cracking better than standard foam in salt-air conditions. Standard mounting dimensions allow direct replacement of most factory marine speaker locations without custom fabrication.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 150-watt peak speaker draw when playing all day?

The speaker handles 150 watts peak power; continuous draw depends on amplifier output and volume level.

What mounting hardware or wiring must I already have to install this marine speaker?

Standard speaker wire and a suitable cut-out are required; no proprietary connectors are used.

Will the 80 Hz low-end response match my existing factory head unit without a subwoofer?

Frequency response starts at 80 Hz, so very low bass will be limited unless a subwoofer is added.
