Oversized Drafting Stool with Foot Ring

The BOSS B1680-BK is an oversized drafting stool built for users who need a higher seating position at drafting tables, standing desks or elevated work surfaces. A pneumatic gas lift adjusts the seat height smoothly, while the integrated foot ring gives legs a stable resting place during long sessions. CaressoftPlus upholstery provides a leather-like feel that is breathable and simple to wipe clean. The 275 lb capacity suits a wide range of body types.

Sustained Comfort and Mobility

The breathable CaressoftPlus material reduces heat build-up when sitting for extended periods, and the cushioned seat maintains support without excessive compression. Hooded double-wheel casters roll quietly on hard floors or low-pile carpet, allowing frequent repositioning without strain. The pneumatic lift holds the selected height reliably under continuous use, so the stool stays level throughout the workday.

Sturdy Base and Practical Details

A 27 inch nylon base distributes weight evenly for stability at taller heights, and the dual-wheel casters withstand daily movement across studio or office surfaces. The foot ring is welded to the column, preventing wobble when shifting posture. Black frame and upholstery coordinate with most professional environments, and the single-unit packaging means the stool arrives ready for final assembly.

Questions about this item

Does the pneumatic gas lift on the B1680-BK stool operate quietly and stay cool during all-day use?

The pneumatic gas lift adjusts height smoothly without a motor, so it produces no fan noise and generates no heat during continuous daily use.

What floor type or mat is needed for the hooded double-wheel casters on this stool to roll properly?

The 2-inch nylon hooded dual-wheel casters roll on standard hard floors and low-pile carpet; a chair mat is optional for added floor protection.

Will the 27-inch nylon base and foot ring of this drafting stool clear the cross-bar of an older 27-inch high drafting table?

The adjustable seat height reaches 43 inches, so the foot ring can be positioned above most standard drafting-table cross-bars for comfortable leg room.
