Executive chair with synchro-tilt

The BOSS Office Products B8871-GY is a grey executive chair built for office environments. It uses a 2-to-1 synchro-tilt mechanism that coordinates seat and back movement. Pneumatic gas lift provides height adjustment while upright locking secures the tilt angle. Hooded double-wheel casters allow mobility across hard floors and low-pile carpet.

Suited for single-user office work

This chair supports users up to 275 lb and fits standard desk heights with its gas-lift range. The pivoting hinge arms move with the body during recline. Buyers needing a higher weight rating, a headrest, or fully adjustable armrests with width and depth settings should consider other seating options. The fixed arm design limits customisation for shared workstations.

Consistent support during long sessions

The synchro-tilt mechanism maintains a constant back-to-seat ratio throughout the recline range, reducing pressure points during extended sitting. Adjustable tilt tension lets the user match resistance to body weight. Caressoft upholstery resists wear from daily use while the designer-stitched back cushion retains shape. The upright lock holds a preferred posture without drift.

Questions about this item

What floor surface do the hooded double-wheel casters need?

The hooded double-wheel casters roll on standard office carpet or hard floors without extra mats.

Will the synchro-tilt mechanism operate if I keep my existing fixed-height desk?

Yes, the pneumatic gas lift adjusts seat height independently so the 2-to-1 synchro tilt works at any desk height.

How can I confirm the chair is set up correctly after assembly?

Sit in the chair; the seat and back should move together in a 2-to-1 ratio, tilt tension should resist smoothly, and the upright lock should hold the back fixed when engaged.
