Compact Manual Pencil Sharpener for Students

The Bostitch PS1-ADJ is a hand-held manual sharpener designed for standard and charcoal pencils. Its ratchet mechanism sharpens with a smooth back-and-forth twisting motion that feels comfortable in the hand. A centre dial adjusts the tip from sharp to blunt for different drawing or writing needs. The compact alloy-steel body fits easily into pencil cases, backpacks or pockets.

Upgrade from Basic Sharpeners When You Need Tip

This model replaces single-setting sharpeners that offer no control over point shape and often waste pencil length. The adjustable dial and Tip Saver technology make the jump worthwhile for anyone who switches between detailed line work and broader shading. It also suits users tired of lost shaving-covers, because the side panel stays attached while emptying.

Check Pencil Diameter

The sharpener has one hole sized for standard pencils; verify that your charcoal or coloured pencils match that diameter. Confirm you want a manual twist action rather than a crank or electric model. The unit weighs 0.018 kilograms and comes in an assorted translucent colour that cannot be selected.
