Compact Wireless Speaker

The Bowers & Wilkins Formation Flex is a compact wireless speaker designed for listeners who want high-fidelity audio in a single room or as part of a multiroom system. It streams music directly from a Bluetooth-enabled device without the need for a separate hub or wired network connection.

Sustained Playback Performance

A 1-inch double dome tweeter and a 4-inch woven glass fibre cone woofer operate together in a 2-way configuration to maintain tonal balance during extended listening sessions. The driver pairing covers a frequency response of 50Hz to 28kHz, keeping bass weight and treble detail stable rather than compressing under continuous output.

Setup Considerations

Verify that your source device supports Bluetooth audio streaming to pair with the speaker. Confirm you have a mains outlet nearby, as the unit requires AC power for operation. Buyers who need a stereo pair or a dedicated subwoofer output should note this model provides neither.

Questions about this item

How much heat or fan noise does the Formation Flex produce when it plays music continuously?

The speaker has no fan and relies on passive cooling, so it runs silently and stays cool to the touch during all-day playback.

What must I already own to stream audio to the Formation Flex over Bluetooth?

You need a Bluetooth-enabled source device such as a smartphone, tablet or computer to send music to the speaker.

Can I group the Formation Flex with my older wired Bowers & Wilkins speakers for multiroom playback?

The Formation Flex uses the proprietary Formation wireless platform, so it only groups with other Formation speakers; legacy wired models cannot join the same multiroom system.
