10Gb SFP+ RJ45 4-pack

This four-pack of 10Gb SFP+ to RJ45 transceivers connects switches, routers or servers over Cat6a or Cat7 copper up to 30 metres. Each module auto-negotiates at 1.25, 2.5, 5 or 10 GbE and draws less than 2.5 watts. The hot-pluggable design fits any 10G SFP+ cage that follows the MSA specification.

Replacing fibre modules

The copper RJ45 interface replaces short-reach fibre transceivers when existing structured cabling is already in place and runs do not exceed 30 metres. The jump is worth it when you need 10G speeds without pulling new fibre or when the switch side only offers SFP+ cages. Buyers who need longer copper runs or fibre distances cannot use these modules.

Plug-and-play install

Installation is a simple hot-plug into a compliant SFP+ port; no driver or software configuration is required. The modules conform to IEEE 802.3an, 802.3az, SFF-8431 and SFF-8432 and operate from 0 to 70 °C (32 to 158 °F). The most common issue is inserting the transceiver into a non-compliant cage such as the Ubiquiti US-48-500W, which the supplier lists as incompatible.
