Large Japanese desk mat

This large Japanese desk mat provides an extended surface measuring 31.5 by 11.8 inches. The superfine Lycra cloth cover creates an ultra-smooth glide for optical, wireless and mechanical mice. It accommodates a keyboard and mouse with room for other desk items. The non-slip rubber base keeps the pad firmly anchored on wood, glass, metal or marble surfaces.

Sustained glide and surface integrity

The waterproof coating repels spilled liquids so the cloth stays clean with a quick wipe during long sessions. Surface texture remains consistent under continuous mouse movement without developing rough patches. The dense rubber base prevents the pad from shifting even during rapid, repeated swipes across the full width.

Thermals noise and power

The pad requires no power and produces no noise during use. Its flexible construction allows it to be rolled for transport without creasing the surface. The rubber base insulates the desk from minor heat generated by peripherals resting on the mat.

Questions about this item

Does the 31.5 x 11.8 inch cloth surface generate heat or noise during all-day use?

The Lycra cloth surface is passive and produces no heat or noise; it simply provides a smooth glide for optical or wireless mice.

What hardware must I already own for this pad to be useful?

You need a mouse — optical, wireless or mechanical — and a flat desk area at least 31.5 by 11.8 inches to lay the pad flat.

Will the non-slip rubber base stay put on my older glass or wooden desk?

Yes, the dense rubber base grips wood, glass, leather, metal and marble firmly while remaining flexible enough to roll up for storage.
