Replacement foil head

The Braun Series 7 74S is a replacement foil shaver head manufactured in Germany. It restores the shaver to 100 percent performance when the original head wears out. The part clicks onto the shaver in a single step. It is designed for wet or dry use with compatible Series 7 models.

Compatibility and limits

This head fits Series 7 generations 70, 71 and 72 only. It suits owners of those shavers who need a direct factory replacement. Buyers with other Braun series or non-Braun shavers cannot use this part. The foil design is fixed and cannot be swapped for a rotary cutter.

18-month replacement cycle

Braun recommends replacing the head every 18 months to maintain cutting efficiency. The 360 SkinFlex head with three flexible blades adapts to facial contours for a closer shave. Following this interval prevents reduced closeness and skin irritation.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 74S replacement head draw when the shaver runs all day?

The 74S foil head has no motor or battery; it draws zero power itself. All consumption comes from the Series 7 handle you attach it to.

Which Braun handle must I already own for the 74S head to click on?

The 74S fits Series 7 generations 70, 71 and 72. It will not fit older Series 7 models or other Braun series.

Will the 74S head work properly on my older Series 7 shaver from generation 70?

Yes. The 74S is compatible with generations 70, 71 and 72, restoring 100 % shaving performance with the 360 SkinFlex head and three flexible blades.
