Barebone mini PC for custom builds

The BRENUC N7A is a barebone mini PC built around an Intel Core i5-12450H processor with 12 MB cache and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.40 GHz. It ships without memory or storage, so the buyer installs DDR4 modules and an SSD to suit the workload. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics drives up to three displays via HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.4.

Limits of WiFi 6 and 2.5G Ethernet

Wireless connectivity uses WiFi 6 AX101 and Bluetooth 5.2 for cable-free networking. The wired port reaches 2500 Mbps, yet actual throughput depends on the switch, cabling and ISP link. HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.4 cap video output at their respective specification ceilings, so 8K or high-refresh 4K panels will not run at full capability.

Check DDR4 slots and M.2 keying before ordering

Verify how many DDR4 SO-DIMM slots the chassis provides and whether the M.2 socket accepts the length and keying of your chosen SSD. Confirm that your operating system supports the i5-12450H and that the power adapter matches the unit's input requirements. Ensure the mounting pattern fits the intended VESA bracket or stand.

Questions about this item

Should I add DDR4 memory and an SSD myself since the barebone ships with 0 GB of each?

Yes — the board takes DDR4 SO-DIMMs at 3200 MHz and has an M.2 slot for an SSD; you choose capacity and speed to match your workload.

What does the 4.4 GHz boost clock on the i5-12450H mean for everyday workloads?

The processor can hit 4.4 GHz on one or two cores for short bursts, giving snappy response in office apps and web browsing, while sustained multi-core speeds settle lower.

How many 4K displays can I drive through the HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.4 ports?

The integrated UHD Graphics supports three simultaneous 4K outputs, so you can use both HDMI 2.0 and the DisplayPort 1.4 connection for a triple-monitor setup.
