Compact espresso for home baristas

The Breville Bambino Plus is a new espresso machine with a 64 fl oz water tank and a 7.7 inch wide footprint. It uses a ThermoJet heating system to reach extraction temperature in 3 seconds. A 54 mm portafilter holds 19 grams of coffee for cafe-quality shots.

Suits small kitchens wanting automatic milk

Buyers who want hands-on steam wand control or a larger water reservoir should look elsewhere. The automatic steam wand adjusts milk temperature and texture for microfoam and latte art. Digital PID control keeps water temperature precise during extraction.

Handles daily espresso and milk drinks

The 64 fl oz tank supports multiple drinks before refilling. Low pressure pre-infusion and PID temperature control deliver balanced extraction shot after shot. The compact 7.7 inch width fits tight counters while the 19 gram dose ensures full flavor.

Questions about this item

What coffee beans and grinder do I need for the 54 mm portafilter and 19 g dose?

Use fresh espresso-roast beans and a grinder that can produce a fine, consistent grind so the 54 mm basket holds the full 19 g dose without channelling.

Can I keep using my existing tamper and milk jug with this machine?

A 54 mm tamper matches the portafilter basket, and any standard stainless-steel milk jug works with the automatic steam wand for microfoam texturing.

How do I know the ThermoJet system and PID are heating correctly after I switch it on?

The machine reaches extraction temperature in about 3 seconds; the ready light then stays solid, and the first shot should pour with steady, honey-coloured crema.
