Breville TA1428E-UL 2-Slice Toaster Purple 1500W

Smart toaster with touchscreen

The Breville TA1428E-UL is a two-slice toaster built around a tilted 75-degree ErgoView touchscreen that shows a live countdown timer. BreadID Tech automatically adjusts time and temperature across six presets for different bread types. A single-slot mode redirects heat to the occupied slot, cutting energy use by 40 percent while delivering 360-degree crispness. Memory function stores a preferred shade and bread type for one-tap recall.

Wide-slot stainless body and tilt display

The 1.5-inch wide slots accommodate thick artisan loaves and dense bagels without jamming. Food-grade non-stick stainless steel housing and a removable crumb tray simplify daily cleaning. The 75-degree tilted screen places icons at standing eye level, removing the need to bend down. Dimensions are 10.98 inches high, 7.44 inches wide and 6.14 inches deep at a weight of 1.769 kilograms.

Power and preset limits

Rated at 1500 watts, the appliance draws more power than the 900-watt reference model in the series. Only six bread-type presets and six browning levels are available, so users with highly specific preferences cannot program custom curves. The two-slice capacity and single-slot optimisation mean households needing four slices at once will require a second unit or a larger toaster.
