What This Imaging Drum Does

The Brother DR-6000 is an original imaging drum rated for 20000 pages of black output. It fits a wide range of Brother laser models including the HL 1030, 1230, 1240, 1250, 1270N, 1430, 1440, 1450 and 1470N series. Offices needing consistent mono printing use this unit to transfer toner onto the page.

Installation Notes

The drum slides into the printer chassis after the toner cartridge is removed, a process that takes under a minute on compatible models. No tools or firmware steps are required. The most common error is seating the drum before the protective cover is fully removed, which leaves a blank strip on the first prints.

Capacity and Limits

At 20000 pages the drum handles typical monthly volumes for small workgroups without frequent replacement. Print quality degrades gradually once the rated yield is passed, showing faint areas or streaks. Buyers who need colour output or higher page yields per unit should choose a different supply type.
