Capacity and Compatibility

This optional lower paper tray adds a 500-sheet input capacity to compatible Brother laser printers and multifunction devices. It accepts both letter and legal paper sizes for mixed-document printing. The accessory is designed for workgroups that want to reduce the frequency of paper refills during high-volume output.

Model-Specific Fit

The tray is confirmed for use only with the HL-L8360CDW, HL-L8360CDWT, HL-L9310CDW, MFC-L8900CDW and MFC-L9570CDW. Verifying the exact model number on the host device is the single step that decides whether this part will install and function correctly. No other Brother models are supported by this accessory.

Installation and Workflow Impact

The unit installs as a single lower tray beneath the printer, drawing power and signal from the host device without extra cables. Once fitted it enables automatic switching between letter and legal media, freeing users from manually swapping paper for different document sizes. It does not add a second independent tray or increase output-bin capacity.

Questions about this item

How many sheets does the 500-sheet capacity actually hold when the tray is installed in the printer?

The tray holds up to 500 sheets of standard paper once fitted to a compatible model, reducing how often you need to reload during large print runs.

Does the tray connect through a standard drawer interface, and what paper sizes does that limit me to?

It slides into the lower tray slot on supported Brother printers and accepts Letter and Legal sizes for automatic mixed-size printing.

What clearance or mounting points does the LT340CL need to sit under an HL-L8360CDW?

The tray is designed as a direct lower paper tray for the listed models, so it aligns with the existing mounting rails and requires no extra brackets.
