Tape format and printing method

This 12 mm wide non-laminated tape prints blue text on a white background using direct thermal technology. The roll extends 26.2 feet and fits Brother P-touch label printers that accept M-series cassettes. It is supplied as a single cartridge ready for immediate use.

Compatible printers and usage limits

The tape works with a wide range of P-touch models including PT-100, PT-110, PT-45M, PT-55BM, PT-55S, PT-65, PT-65SB, PT-65SCCP, PT-65SL, PT-65VP, PT-70, PT-70BBVP, PT-70BM, PT-70BMH, PT-70HK, PT-70HOL, PT-70HOT, PT-70SP, PT-70SR, PT-80, PT-80SCCP, PT-85 and PT-90. Printers that require laminated tape or a different cassette form factor cannot use this cartridge.

Critical specification for selection

The decisive detail is the 12 mm width combined with non-laminated direct thermal construction; only printers listed as compatible with M-series non-laminated tape will accept this roll.

Questions about this item

What printer models accept the 12 mm MK233 tape cassette?

The cassette fits Brother P-touch models PT-100, PT-110, PT-45M, PT-55BM, PT-55S, PT-65, PT-65SB, PT-65SCCP, PT-65SL, PT-65VP, PT-70, PT-70BBVP, PT-70BM, PT-70BMH, PT-70HK, PT-70HOL, PT-70HOT, PT-70SP, PT-70SR, PT-80, PT-80SCCP, PT-85 and PT-90.

How do I load the cassette correctly so the tape feeds?

Open the cassette cover, drop the MK233 cassette in with the tape facing the print head, pull the tape straight through the guide slot, then close the cover until it clicks.

When should I replace the 26.2 ft roll?

Replace the roll when the tape runs out or when print quality fades because the non-laminated direct-thermal surface has been exhausted.
