Compact mobile direct-thermal printer

The Brother PJ862L is an 8-inch mobile direct-thermal printer built for field-service, logistics and public-safety professionals who need full-page output on the move. It prints monochrome documents up to 8.5 by 11 inches without ink cartridges, using heat-sensitive paper or labels instead.

Verify power and host connections before ordering

Confirm that your vehicle or workstation can supply USB or the optional battery pack for mobile use. Ensure your software can send print jobs over the supported wired or wireless interfaces and that you have a supply of compatible direct-thermal media in the required width.

Fits existing PocketJet 7 mounts and accessories

The unit shares the same footprint as the previous generation, so current vehicle cradles, carry cases and mounting hardware remain usable. Direct-thermal technology removes the need for ink or toner storage, freeing space in tight vehicle consoles or mobile kits.
