PocketJet 763MFi receipt printer

The Brother PocketJet 763MFi is a direct-thermal receipt printer that produces full-page output up to 8.5 inches wide. It connects through USB 2.0 and Bluetooth, and works with Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android devices. The compact chassis fits in a pocket, briefcase or vehicle mount for mobile printing. Downloaded templates can be stored on the unit for repeatable tasks.

Suited for mobile professionals needing A4-width

This printer suits field workers, delivery drivers and mobile officers who need full-page thermal receipts on the move. Bluetooth and USB 2.0 give flexible device pairing. Buyers who require an internal battery for untethered operation should look elsewhere, as the box contains only an AC adapter and a dummy battery. Colour or multi-copy printing is not supported by the direct-thermal mechanism.

300 x 300 dpi direct-thermal resolution

The single specification that decides fit is the 300 x 300 dpi direct-thermal engine. It determines that output is monochrome, heat-sensitive and limited to thermal paper stock. If your workflow needs higher resolution, colour, plain-paper compatibility or archival permanence, this printer will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

How many pages per minute can the PocketJet 763MFi sustain at 300 x 300 dpi before it slows down?

The direct thermal engine is rated at up to 8 ppm at 300 x 300 dpi; sustained output will depend on paper supply and host throughput rather than a hard internal throttle.

What is the noise and heat profile when the printer runs continuously on AC power?

Direct thermal printing has no ink or toner drums, so acoustic output is limited to paper feed and the print head; the AC adapter handles power conversion externally, keeping the printer body cool during long sessions.

Does the box include a battery, or must I supply my own for mobile use?

The package ships with an AC adapter and a dummy battery insert; no rechargeable battery is included, so mobile operation requires the optional Brother Li-ion battery pack sold separately.
