A desktop laminated label printer producing 32 mm high labels at 360 x 720 dpi with automatic cutting and Ethernet, USB, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity
The Brother PT-P950NW is a desktop printer that uses laminated thermal-transfer technology to produce durable labels up to 32 mm high on 36 mm tape. It connects through Ethernet, USB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and serial interfaces for flexible network or direct-device printing. Print resolution reaches 360 x 720 dpi and speed is rated at 3.1 ips.
Operations that need abrasion-resistant, chemical-resistant or temperature-resistant labels for work-in-progress tracking, asset management or compliance marking will benefit from the automatic cutter and 6 MB onboard memory. Environments that require colour output, continuous roll feeding without a cutter or non-laminated media only should consider a different class of printer.
The print head is limited to 32 mm height on the widest supported 36 mm tape, so any application demanding taller labels or wider media cannot use this model. Buyers needing larger label dimensions must select a printer with a wider print head.
