4-inch print width for mobile workforces

The Brother RJ4255WB is a rugged mobile printer built for field service, logistics and retail staff who need to produce labels or receipts up to four inches wide on demand. It connects to Windows, macOS, Android and iOS devices through USB-C, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC pairing. Its IP54 rating and 6.9 ft drop protection allow it to survive dust, moisture and repeated impacts in harsh environments.

5 in/s mono speed and media headroom

The unit prints monochrome output at up to 5 in/s, keeping queues short during high-volume shifts. It handles media from two to four inches wide, covering shipping labels, compliance tags and point-of-sale receipts without changing hardware. Battery life and charge cycles depend on the optional Li-ion pack chosen, so runtime scales with the accessory configuration selected for the shift length.

Connectivity limits and accessory dependency

Wireless links rely on the host device supporting standard Bluetooth and Wi-Fi profiles; no proprietary protocol extends range beyond typical indoor distances. USB-C provides a wired fallback when radio environments are congested. The printer ships without a battery, charger or mount, so total cost and operational readiness depend on purchasing the specific accessories required for each deployment scenario.
