Product Identity

The Brother TZE251 is a 24 mm black-on-white laminated tape cartridge designed for thermal-transfer label printers. It supplies 26.2 feet of white media in a single pack and uses standard adhesive for flat surfaces. The tape resists water, grease, grime and temperature extremes for indoor and outdoor use.

Suitability

This cartridge suits businesses that print durable labels for files, folders, binders or general signage on smooth, flat surfaces. It is not intended for users who need tapes wider than 24 mm or longer than 26.2 feet per cartridge. Buyers with printers that accept only narrower or proprietary cassettes should look elsewhere.

Deciding Specification

The critical specification is the 24 mm tape width, which must match the printer's cassette slot exactly. Only the models listed in the product data accept this cartridge. Verify the printer model before purchase to ensure mechanical compatibility.

Questions about this item

How do I install the TZE251 cartridge in my PT-2400, and what step do people often miss?

Open the cassette cover, insert the cartridge with the tape feed facing the printer roller, then close the cover until it clicks; the step often missed is pulling the tape end past the cutter before the first print.

What maintenance or replacement will the TZE251 tape need later?

The cartridge is single-use; when the 26.2 ft supply runs out, replace the whole cassette — no separate ribbon or roller maintenance is required.

What limit appears first on the TZE251 during sustained outdoor use?

The 26.2 ft length is the hard limit; the laminated tape resists water, grease and temperature extremes, so the roll finishes before the adhesive or print degrades.
