Tape for P-Touch label makers

Brother TZE661 is a laminated tape cartridge printed with black text on a yellow background. It fits the PT-550, PT-3600, PT-9200DX, PT-9200PC, PT-9400, PT-9500PC and PT-9600 models. The cartridge holds an 8 metre roll that is 36 mm wide.

Laminated construction for daily use

The tape uses Brother’s laminated process with a standard adhesive formulated for flat surfaces such as paper, file folders and binders. Labels remain attached during normal indoor and outdoor exposure, including hot and cold conditions. Print quality stays legible over extended periods.

Cartridge format and mounting

Each pack contains one cartridge that installs directly into compatible P-Touch printers without tools. The 36 mm width suits wider label formats for filing, signage or identification tasks. Yellow background provides high contrast for black print in typical lighting.

Questions about this item

How does the 36 mm laminated tape hold up when the printer runs all day in a hot or cold workspace?

The laminated construction and standard adhesive are designed to stay on under normal indoor and outdoor use, including hot and cold environments, so labels remain legible during extended print runs.

Which Brother label printers accept the TZE-661 cassette so I know my current machine will work?

Compatible models include the PT-550, PT-3600, PT-9200DX, PT-9200PC, PT-9400, PT-9500PC and PT-9600.

Will the black-on-yellow 36 mm labels adhere to the older plastic bins and metal cabinets I already use for storage?

The standard adhesive is formulated for flat surfaces such as office paper, file folders and binders; it may not bond reliably to textured plastics or bare metal without testing first.
