Brother TZe Self-Laminating Tape

The Brother TZESL261 is a self-laminating label tape from the P-touch TZe series designed for cable identification. It produces black text on a white background and applies a clear protective layer over the printed area in a single pass through compatible Brother label printers. The 36 mm width suits larger diameter cables such as CAT6A.

Replaces Hand-Applied Laminates

This tape eliminates the separate step of covering printed labels with clear overlay tape or heat-shrink tubing. The jump is worth it when labelling volume is high or when labels must survive handling, moisture and chemical exposure without edge lifting. It is not for users who only need occasional paper labels for indoor files.

Limits of Thermal Transfer Printing

The laminated output resists water, oil, chemicals, UV light and temperature extremes, but the underlying thermal transfer print still requires a compatible Brother P-touch printer such as the PTP950NW, PTP900W, PTE550WVP or PTE550WVPHK. The tape will not function in direct thermal printers, inkjet or laser devices, nor in non-Brother machines.
