Product Purpose

The Brother WT223CL is a waste toner box rated for approximately 50000 pages. It collects excess toner during printing to keep internal components clean and maintain consistent output quality. The unit is designed for the listed HL and MFC colour laser models.

Installation Notes

Replacement involves opening the front cover, sliding out the used box and inserting the new one until it clicks. No tools are required. A common issue is forgetting to reset the supply counter, which can leave the replacement warning active after installation.

Yield Limit

The rated yield of 50000 pages is an average based on standard test conditions. Actual life varies with page coverage, print density and the mix of colour versus monochrome jobs. Heavy graphics or high-coverage documents will fill the box sooner than the rated figure.
